General Product Description

General Description: Fortrac® geogrids are manufactured of high tenacity polyester yarns woven into interlocking pattern and coated with polyvinyl chloride. They are extremely pliable and resistant to freeze-thaw temperature changes. They are also resistant to soil chemicals and the degrading effects of ultra violet light.

 

Tough, flexible "knots and bars" grid
Fortrac geogrids are tough, rugged subsurface reinforcements. They withstand normal subsoil pressures, and are flexible enough to allow gravel to penetrate the grids without damaging the knots and bars. This flexibility protects against stress cracks in the grid and assures a firm bond between the grid and the supporting and supported subsoil.

 

Easy handling and installation
Fortrac geogrids have a low weight per-square-foot and are extraordinarily flexible, even at low ambient temperatures. Unrolling the grid and cutting it to size is easy, and installation requires no specialized tools or skills. This permits significant savings in installation costs.

Roll dimensions
Fortrac geogrids are available in a standard width of 12.14' (3.7 meters), and a standard length of 656' (200 meters). Widths up to 16.41' (5 meters) can be special ordered. Narrower and shorter length rolls may also be special ordered.
